Way Back Inn's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! WHO WE ARE: Started in 1991, Way Back Inn currently operates 12 housing units in Renton, Kent, and Tukwila, WA. Houses are leased for little or no money, with WBI providing maintenance and upkeep on the units. OUR MISSION: Way Back Inn's mission is to return dignity to people by providing 90-day transitional emergency housing for homeless families with small children. WHO WE SERVE: Parents must have a plan to regain self-sufficiency and be actively working with a case manager to accomplish that plan. Our 3-month program is not intended for individuals who choose to continue a homeless lifestyle. WHAT WE DO: Way Back Inn pays all utilities and rent, when applicable. Homes are fully furnished with donated items. WBI also provides rental assistance to families at risk of becoming homeless. IN 2007, WAY BACK INN SERVED 81 FAMILIES CONSISTING OF 276 INDIVIDUALS. OF THOSE HELPED, 164 WERE CHILDREN 14 OR UNDER. IN 2007, WAY BACK INN RECEIVED 1,636 PHONE CALLS REQUESTING SERVICE AND ASSISTANCE. THERE WERE 2,392 CHILDREN IN THE FAMILIES CALLING IN FOR HELP.
