It is that time of year for the Race for our Lives!!!!!
In the picture is my 4 rescued kids. I can't tell you how lucky I am to have them in my life. They are the most devoted friends you could ever have.
Reba (red and white BC) was rescued at 9 months of age and scared of everything. Well today she does agility and loves to play with tennis balls. She can't get enough of people, yes I said people even though they where mean and beat her.
Axel (rottweiler) his story is long but I will try to keep it short. He was rescued at 7 months. We know he was in at least a litter of 4 and is the only servivor because of aggression at the young ages of 5 and 7 months. Axel is scared of people but he is slowing coming around to realize that his mommy thinks he is the best. After loosing Nitro (who took Axel under his wing) and realizing that we where the best home for him we decided to make it official. Someday he will be so social you won't believe how he was in the past.
Boo Marlie (Blue Merle Aussie) was rescued at 6 months from a high kill shelter. No one could figure out what was wrong with her because she was getting beat up by other dogs and with the slightest of hand movement she would run. Well she is sight impared and partially deaf in one ear do to the way her parents where breed. They must have been two merles. The guy that droped her off at the shelter said she was a dump stupid dog and to euthinize her. Well thank god I found her because she is the best girl ever. She is training for ralley o.
Nos (Rottweiler) we rescued him at the age of 2 years. He was found wondering the streets of York and had one of the worst ear infections I had seen in a long time. When we saw him is was instant love. He has helped to fill an empty void in our hearts since the loss of Nitro (yes I said void even with as many dogs as I have at any given time it could be up to 11) Nos has just finished his first basic obedience class and we are looking to sign up for our 2nd so that we can train to compete in obedience.
As you have read the storys of my babies you can see that it doesn't have to be a pure breed or a puppy to be able to succeed in life as a great friend and compainion. Rescue a dog today and you will see how greatful they are to have love, guidence and most of all your love.
Help me reach my goal so that Furry Friends Network can continue to help those animals that can't help themselves and have been tossed aside like an old newspaper.
I want to thank you now for your donation to help. It doesn't matter if it is only 5.00 it all adds up.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
