Don't Break My Heart
Some of our friends have suggested that in another life, they would like to come back as our dog. We adopted Zoey from Guardian Angel Basset Rescue when she was six months old. She makes us laugh every day and has become a Therapy Dog, bringing smiles to the faces of many residents at Wesley Acres Retirement Community in Des Moines.
Zoey recognizes that many basset hounds are not as fortunate as she. She was a lucky girl who found a new home after her previous owners decided that raising a puppy was too much work. Many bassets come to GABR with health
problems and issues of neglect and abuse. Some have been abandoned, others dropped off at shelters for a variety of reasons.
Zoey is raising money to help pay for veterinary care for these wonderful long-eared friends who find new homes through GABR. Zoey will WADDLE in Illinois in September, along with hundreds of other bassets and their people. Please help Zoey with your pledge of support. Any amount will benefit homeless hounds, and we hope you will be generous.
Look at that face and make your pledge now. Thanks!
Lynn, Linda and Zoey Ferrell
