Marty and Anna's Walk for the Cats
It's me, Marty! This is my fourth year raising money for ARF, the phenomenal organization that saved my life and the life of my cattle dog step-sister, Anna. Anna and I are going to use our innate herding skills to round up some serious cash for ARF. But this year we have decided that we are going to dedicate our efforts to honor all the cats that will be saved by ARF this year. It's not because the cats in our household told us to (and yes, they do outnumber us six-fold). We are doing it for Buffy! Most people know that Buffy is the cat that lives at ARF. When she's awake (remember, she is a cat) she assists the staff and volunteers. She brightens our days with her loud meows and her sweet snuggles. And she inspires us because she has been battling cancer for over a year. Buffy embodies everything that is ARF - rescued from a local shelter, lovingly cared for by the staff and volunteers, and receiving expert treatment from ARF's veterinary staff. So if you can just take a moment to scrounge through your purse, your pockets and under the sofa cushions to find whatever spare change you can and sponsor us on our walk. And make sure you join us at Animals on Broadway on May 15th!
