Chas Newkey-Burden's Dublin Marathon for Progeria

Chas Newkey-Burden's Dublin Marathon for Progeria

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Fundraising Page!

In October this year I am running the Dublin Marathon for the Progeria Research Foundation.

Progeria is a fatal, “premature aging” disease that afflicts children, who die of heart disease at an average age of 13 years. The recent Channel 4, England, documentary "Body Shock" featured some children in who suffer from a form of Progeria.

You can read more about this devastating disease here: http://www.progeriaresearch.org.

All children who who suffer from Progeria are incredibly brave, like 8 year old Hayley in the photo. The Progeria Research Foundation is working towards the day when their courage is rewarded with a cure that allows them to lead a normal and full life.

All money raised here on this page will go directly to The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF), which is fighting against time to help save all the children suffering from this disease. PRF funds valuable research for the cure.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. **Please note: First Giving cannot accept International Debit Cards; please make sure you are using a Credit Card only.  Thank you!

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! ~Chas
