The 13th Annual WALK for a Just Community is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Owl's Nest Park in Evanston!
BRIDGES Walk is the preeminent event of its kind in this region and the proceeds benefit the programs of BRIDGES for a Just Community & is an inspiring event promoting inclusion, equity, and justice for all!
The Walk route is 3.1 miles (5K)
To recieve a Walk Tee Shirt participants are asked to raise $25.
& there is a registered 5K, the Freedom Run, that requires a $25.00 registration fee.
This celebration is truly a display of the rich ethnic and cultural compilation of our region.
Walk teams have begun forming!
BRIDGES Communication & Events Manager, Brittany Collins, is available for help with team recruitment, organization, fundraising ideas and tricks, and Walk promotion, including brochures and posters. Also, each team is to recruit a Team Captain, whose job it is to recruit and organize walkers. Brittany is also eager to come speak to your organization to help energize and motivate your workplace to join the Walk efforts!
