Madison’s Place

Madison’s Place will be a barrier free playground, completely handicapped accessible, located at the Bielenberg Sports Center in Woodbury, MN where kids can play together regardless of their abilities or disabilities to foster friendships, acceptance and understanding.

The inspiration for this playground comes from my daughter Madison, who at the age of 2 died from SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). Although our time with Madison was so very short, so many blessings came from having her in our life. The journey with Madison was so difficult in many ways, but I feel blessed everyday that she was given to us to love, I am proud every time I can say that I am Madison’s mom. Words cannot explain the loss of a child, the heartache never goes away – and so with this playground we hope to give children with disabilities and their families a place to play together, a place to imagine and pretend, a chance to be independent, and a place to be amongst friends.

Please help us reach our goal of $600,000 to build the playground where all children can play together - playgrounds should be for everyone!

Please consider making a donation to help create this tremendous community need.  To learn more about the playground and to read Madison's story, please visit www.madisonclairefoundation.org.
