After 5 years of trying to conceive, we were thrilled to discover we were expecting identical twins!  Experiencing the ups and downs of pregnancy and planning for multiples was amazing.  We were so excited to finally be parents after so many years of longing for a child!  Unfortunately, our beautiful little girls passed away before they were born.

Karis and Addison were born sleeping at 20 weeks on June 13, 2008.  They had passed away due to Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome.  Saying goodbye to our daughters was the hardest thing we've ever had to do. 

After the birth of our (healthy!) son Blake, we became even more aware of the depth of what we had lost.  Mandy made it her personal mission to get into shape in time to run Kaila & Grace's Hope & Hearts Run.  During her many evening runs, she thinks of her daughters and what they would be like, had they survived.

The loss of a child is not something you "get over" or "move on" from.  We are so thankful there are organizations like the Missing GRACE Foundation to help people through the heart-wrenching loss of a child.
