The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund provides support for the surviving family member of fallen officers. Every May 15th during “National Police Memorial Week” a ceremony is conducted at the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. This event is preceded by a bicycle ride from Florham Park, NJ to Washington D.C. Law Enforcement from all over the U.S. and Canada will participate in the ride this year.
This will be my second year participating in the Police Unity Tour. Myself and three fellow co-workers – Steven Caputo, David Terpstra and Steven Smith will be bicycling from East Hanover, NJ to Washington D.C. covering 330 miles for this most worthy cause. To be given the Honor last year to participate in the Police Unity Tour, and ride on behalf of a specific law enforcement officer who laid down his or her life was the Proudest moment of my law enforcement career.
To understand the Honor that comes from bicycling for a fallen officer and his/ her family, please take a moment and click on the video posted below my photo to the right to better understand the ultimate sacrifice these officer's made and what their family members (survivor's) have had to endure.
I would like to elicit your support in fulfilling my goal to participate in this ride by asking for your donations. I am required to raise $2,000 to participate in this event and it is a tax deductible donation to the “National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund”.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fund-raising efforts.
I truly appreciate your support; it is your generosity that helps the Police Unity Tour to continue to be the largest supporter of the Memorial as well as a founding partner in the National Law Enforcement Museum.
Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
Thank you for your time.
