Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I've decided to do something to help raise money for Lupus. So in November I will be running in the ING NYC marathon.

The main reason I have decided to run is because my daughters Grandmother ( Grandma Mali) has Lupus. She was diagnosed with Severe Systemic Lupus in 2004, but it wasn't until later that we discovered what effects this disease can really  have on ones body. She was hospitalized in 2008 with a Lupus Flare up and her Nervous System Shut down so much she was put on a ventilator. There she fought for her life for over 7 months. I would never want to see her in a hospital again, for some time no one knew if she would make it to the next day, now a year later she walks, she talks, she fights the disease. Since I am not a  Doctor or a Scientist, I decided the best way to help her is to run to raise money for the LUPUS Foundation so that one day we can find a cure for the disease.

I hope that everyone can  help me raise money, and head out there during the marathon to help root us on! Let's do it for Grandma Mali!!!

¡Hola todos! ¡Gracias por visitar mi página de recaudación de fondos! He decidido hacer algo para ayudar aumentar dinero para Lupus. Así que en noviembre yo estare corriendo en el maratón de ING NYC.

La principal razón que he decidido correr es porque la Abuela de mi hija (Abuelita Malí) tiene Lupus. Ella fue diagnosticada con Lupus Sistémico Severo en 2004, pero no era hasta que posterior que descubrimos lo que  esta enfermedad puede tener realmente en el cuerpo de unos. Ella fue hospitalizada en 2008 con un Lupus Estalla y su Sistema nervioso Cerró tanto que la pusieronen  un ventilador. Allí ella luchó por su vida por  más de 7 meses. Yo no quisiera verla en un hospital otra vez, durante un tiempo nadie supo si sobreviviria al día siguiente, ahora un año despues ella anda, ella habla, ella lucha contra la enfermedad.

Yo no  soy un Médico ni un Científico, yo decidí que la mejor manera de ayudarla es de correr para recaudar dinero para la Base de LUPUS para que algun día podamos encontrar una curación para la enfermedad.
