Help Save Mariah From a Death Sentence.
My name is Mariah, and I'm in a scary shelter, I'm sick and fighting for my life. SCGSR volunteers are fighting for me too, but they need your help.
Deserted at the shelter, I was sweet and happy and a familiy decided to adopt me. Before I could get out of the shelter I got sick with kennel cough, a common problem in shelters that costs many dogs their lives. My new family decided to leave me behind. Now sick, I went on the short list to be euthanized.
A concerned shelter worker called Southern California German Shepherd Rescue about me. Overwhelmed with dogs, they took a look at me anywhay and said they couldn't turn their backs on me. I'm still in the shelter as of November 11, 2008 and SCGSR volunteers are striving to get me to safety. I'm over 100 miles from San Diego.
SCGSR is not financially able to help all of the German Shepherds who need them. Because of the economy and housing crisis they get many calls a day to help dogs but they just don't have the resources. Each dog in boarding is over $300 a month, that doesn't include medical care, spay and neuters and vaccinations.
Please give any amount you can to help me and the other dog who need SCGSR - when you see a face like mine, how can you turn away.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate to help!
