The mission of the Migraine Research Foundation is to end the debilitating pain of migraine by raising funds for innovative research to further the understanding of the causes and mechanisms of migraine, to develop improved treatments for sufferers, and to find the cure. We serve 36 million Americans who are afflicted with the disabling effects of this often misdiagnosed disease. MRF is the only organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds for innovative scientific research in migraine. Among the programs we fund are our annual research grants, a special award to encourage young investigators to enter the field of migraine research, and For Our Children initiatives to combat childhood migraine. All our operating costs are underwritten--so every dollar raised goes directly to migraine research. Through investment in research we intend to unlock the secrets of migraine, understand its causes, develop improved treatments, and find the cure.
