As you may know, my childhood best friend, Cara, was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 3 years old. She passed away when she was 10.

I've always honored her in little ways throughout my life. As I move through the world I try to savour what I see, feel, and hear on her behalf, too.

Perhaps there is no better way to do her memory justice, though, than to help raise money for other children and adults who are struggling with this disease.

The year 2005 marked the 20th anniversary of Cara's death. Please join me in honoring my friend. Any donation, big or small, will move me towards my goal and will help bring hope and comfort to others.
