Marge Coffin's Fundraising Page
Dear Friend,
Bladder Cancer isn't a disease you hear about often, but there are more than 600,000 bladder cancer survivors in the United States. My husband, Bill Coffin, unfortunately was not one of them. When he was diagnosed with bladder cancer a little over a year ago, I had never heard of bladder cancer. Despite the fact that it is the 5th most commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S., it has been treated like the "elephant in the room", the disease no one wants to talk about in public. It is in his memory that I have organized "Trek the Two Rivers" - to raise money for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) so that others with this disease have a place to turn for information and support.
On Saturday, October 22, 2011, I plan on "trekking" 4.25 miles along the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, but I need your support. Please help me fight bladder cancer by donating to my walk and by walking with me on October 22nd. All proceeds from "Trek the Two Rivers" will benefit BCAN, a non-profit organization, to advance bladder cancer research and educate people about bladder cancer.
Here is how you can help:
1. You can donate online at my Firstgiving page, which is simple and secure, by entering http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/margecoffin
2. You can donate by check (made payable to BCAN) and mail it to me at: 35 Riverview Drive, Easton, PA 18042.
3. You can contact me personally at (484) 695-0731 or email me at mcoffin@epatitle.com
4. You can "trek" with me in memory of Bill Coffin.
