Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Barbara Mull. My Grandbaby girl Mariah is 5 and has Rett Syndrome. Mariah cannot talk or use her hands very well but she is FULL OF LOVE, ENERGY AND LIFE. Mariah is a fun little girl and loves dogs (doggies).
We can't do this alone - we need you, your family and our community to join us in the fight to find a cure for all the girls and women battling Rett Syndrome.
Your help is Mariah's hope. My goal is to raise $2,000.00. There is no such thing as too small of a donation! Also, please come stroll along with us on this special day. We would love that! Like Mariah I don't have the words to tell you how much your support means to me. A cure is literally around the corner and I can't wait to be able to have my first verbal conversation with my special little girl.
With much thanks and gratitude,
Nevada Strollathon 2012:
Saturday, Sept. 15 at Town Square Las Vegas
(Rain or shine.)
The Strollathon benefits the IRSF - International Rett Syndrome Foundation whose mission is to support those with Rett syndrome (RTT) and their families, fund promising research, and increase vital awareness. For more info on IRSF: www.RettSyndrome.org RTT is found almost exclusively in females. Typically girls with RTT have normal growth and development through age one, after which they lose speech and purposeful hand movements. They most often develop scoliosis, gastrointestinal issues, and seizures. Most with RTT require full care, but although they have significant struggles with communication they easily steal hearts with their smiles and expressive eyes.
The Strollathons are fun-filled days of thanks and celebration! Both Strolls feature auctions and raffles! And look for entertainment and activities for children and refreshments for all.
Registration on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Town Square Las Vegas begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 1-mile Stroll begins at 9:00 a.m. Town Square Las Vegas boasts: Children's Park, Town Square Train, shopping, dining, and more!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
