Kira was found wandering stray in a junk lot in Detroit. This sweet, 5 month old puppy was eating garbage to survive! Most of her body was covered in Demodex "mange", and she had other health problems as well. Many shelters would have put her down, but we simply couldn't look into these soulful, green eyes and not give her a chance. Kira has begun treatment for the mange and other issues, and she is doing well, but she has a long road ahead of her.
