Happy New Year!

This past year was really tough but support from you made such a difference.  One of the sources of support that keeps going on is Gilda's Club here in Nashville.

I made a decision to participate in Gilda's Gang this year.  We train and participate in the Music City Marathon in April--as walkers and cheerleaders.  Training began on January 9. 

Some of you may have already received a message from me about Gilda's Gang.  If so I hope this will be more of an update on my progress.

I've had seven surgeries since last February; I've been recently told I have at least once more.  Officially I am in remission; the surgeries are for reconstruction.  Because of the past surgery in December. I have to change my role in Gilda's Gang.  I will not be able to walk the entire half-marathon but will participate as much as possible.

Gilda's Club asks us to find sponsors for the marathon; that is the purpose of this email.  The site is secure and will take credit/debit cards.  If you're not comfortable with that I have envelopes and forms for individual donations.  Just email me and I'll mail them to you.

Thank you again for everything you've helped me accomplish in 2009 and I thank you in advance for your support in 2010.
