The picture you see is of my dog, Molly.  Molly and I visit Active Day Adult Day Care in Abingdon.  During our visits we try to personally see as many people as we can.  Mollly gives people kisses, cuddles with them, lets them pet her and see how soft she is, and does funny things to make them laugh!  It is as though Molly knows they have disabilities and adjusts to each individual.    She brings smiles to people who don't ever smile and elicits excited noises from some who are normally totally silent.   She seems to understand in her own way.  It is very rewarding for everyone--myself, Molly and the patient!!

On September 27, 2009 we will be having our annual Dog-A-Thon and will be walking to raise money for our group Pets on Wheels.   These funds are used year round to keep our group up and running.   We also do parades and try to get the word out about our great organization in such venues as ball games, etc. 

Please join Molly and me in representing Pets on Wheels on September 27th by donating to this very worthwhile cause.
