Marvin Paul Merit, known as “Mick” to many, died peacefully at home in Anaheim Hills, California on  June 16,  2010  after a courageous 11 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.  He was born in Los Angeles, California in February, 1929. He lived in various places throughout California – Gardena, La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Lafayette, Orange, Yorba Linda, and Morro Bay. 

Marv worked for Pacific Telephone for 35 years and enjoyed retirement for 27 years. He and his beloved wife Helen loved to travel to see our great country and especially family. In addition to travel, he enjoyed golf, cribbage, eating out at special restaurants and spending time with family and friends, especially in the Central Coast community of Morro Bay, where he and Helen lived happily for almost 10 years.
