To stop the unnecessary slaughter of Thoroughbred racehorses when their racing careers end by providing meaningful retirement at state and county correctional facilities. At these pioneering farms, the TRF teaches the inmates a vocational training course in horse care and gives them the therapeutic benefit of working with horses.
