YES, I WILL BE PLUNGING IN CASTAIC LAKE 1 TIME PER HOUR FOR 24 HOURS FOR OUR ATHLETES ON SATURDAY, MARCH 10TH WITH 24 OTHER CRAZY PLUNGERS

Hi, my name is Mark Latner.  I have been involved with Special Olympics for 19 years, when our son Ryan was born with Down Syndrome.  Ryan has competed in Swimming, Track & Field, Basketball, Bowling, Skiing and Soccer.  He and his friends enjoy completing with each other and other teams.

I have been involved with special olympics in coaching, fundraising, Tip-a-Cops, organizing opening cermonies for our area games and the Torch Run through out Santa Clarita Valley.  I gather athletes, law enforcement officers from CHP, LA County Sheriffs, FBI, Secret Service, LA County Fire Dept.,  ATF.  These Departments I organize nights at local restrauants where they wait on tables and obtain tips for Special Olympics.

These funds raised at our Plunge will benefit our athletes in buying uniforms, buses for competitions, and equimpment that is much needed for our 500 athletes in Santa Clarita Valley.
