Dear Friends;
My youngest son Alexander was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of 2006. I am happy to report that Alexander has been clear of leukemia for almost three years now and even though he will continue with treatments through the fall, his prognosis is very good.
I am once again reaching out to all of my friends and colleagues to help me support the program that help save and improve the lives of many Cancer Kids including my son. I have joined this year's Mass General Marathon Team and will be running in support of Cancer Care for Children, a special program focused on research, treatment and support that cancer stricken children like my son need.
Last year, with the support of over 250 people like you, we raised just over $20,000. This year, we hope to raise $1,000 for each mile of the race. The funds we raise will go directly to Cancer Care for Children by supporting research into the causes of childhood cancer and to develop new treatments.
