This year Union Football has teamed up with the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa to raise funds for First Downs for Down Syndrome.

First Downs for Down Syndrome is a program started by legendary Coach Gene Stallings. It is a joint effort between High School Football Teams and First Down for Down Syndrome.

Down syndrome is the most commonly occurring genetic condition and is one of the leading causes of intellectual disabilities in the world. However, we are more alike than different and if given the opportunity, indivduals with Down syndrome can be an invaluable addition to our community. Union Trainers, Charlie and Brett are fine examples. They help prepare our team for every game and are our most loyal fans, says Coach Josh Blankenship.

The Union Redskins team is asking Union fans to help by making a tax deductible donation.

All money collected will be donated to the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa and used to provide disablity awareness materials for Union Schools.
