SPECIAL OPERATIONS WARRIOR FOUNDATION

Team MPME's 25hrs of Thunderhill Wounded Warrior Page

Team MPME's 25hrs of Thunderhill Wounded Warrior Page

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!

My auto racing team, 'Team MPME/Scion' is competing in the world's longest endurance road race, the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, December 6th-7th, in Willows, CA, just north of Sacramento.

Administered by the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), the '25 Hours' serves as the ultimate test of drivers, cars, pit crews, equipment, and flawless execution.

We'd like to use the event to draw in donations for our friends at the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, (SOWF, and also commonly referred to as the 'Wounded Warriors'). They can be visited at www.SpecialOps.org.

What exactly does the SOWF do? Here's a poignant clip from their site that explains what they've been doing for almost three decades:

"The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of Special Operations personnel killed in operational or training missions and provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations troops and their families."

As the son of an Army veteran and the husband of a Marine veteran, I'm keen on using the 25 Hours in early December to hopefully compel others to donate to the Wounded Warriors just ahead of Christmas and the holiday season.

Regardless of whether you support our current military deployments, the men and women that serve in our Special Forces get very little in the way of publicity, and the families of fallen Special Ops personnel need our help as much as possible.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. All of your donations go directly to the SOWF.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
