In February, we adopted Lucy Blue from AZ Rescue.  It still brings tears to my eyes to think how close this sweet, gorgeous dog was to being euthanized at the pound.  She has already added so much love and happiness to our family with her sweet smile, silky ears, and full-body tail wags.

I feel privileged to have been able to give her a second chance at life (a third chance, actually, as it turns out that her previous owners adopted her from the pound when she was a puppy.)  I'm not sure whether Lucy Blue is the unluckiest dog in the world (having been abandoned twice) or the luckiest dog (having been rescued twice).  Either way, we're lucky to have her.

AZ Rescue is such an amazing organization, saving dogs and cats that are on the "kill list" at the Maricopa County pounds, giving them necessary veterinary treatment, providing foster homes, and matching these lucky pets to their forever families.
