On Saturday, June 28, I will be chained to a dog house outside the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown (off Industrial Way). 

 I'm doing this in support of an organization called Dogs Deserve Better who try to change the sad lives of the countless numbers of chained dogs in America by providing owners with educational materials, leashes, and funding for fencing. These dogs are often neglected, lonely, and unsocialized, lacking water, food, and adequate shelter.  If the owners no longer want these dogs, DDB take them into rescue and re-home them. 

The national 'Chain Off' is on June 27, but the SPCA in Eatontown is having its event (in which I'm participating ) on the 28th. The funds raised will go to help build a shelter/training center for rescued dogs who have shed their chains.
