You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to help a child with a brain tumor!

A message from Sherry:

As many of you know, I have recently joined the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children as Patient and Family Services Coordinator. This position affords me the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of families and children faced with a very difficult situation. In a matter of a few weeks, I have met several very fabulous children and parents. I have been able to play with, talk to, and support children and families…three of the most important things in my life. While this disease is an awful reality for our families, I have truly been touched and inspired.
I am really excited to know that in some small way, I am doing something to benefit the children we serve. A message from Mary: I am very proud to have been the executive director for the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, since June of 2001. As many of you know (since my work is often all I talk about!) I could go on and on about the many wonderful and inspiring children and parents I have come to know and love over the past four years. Knowing these children and parents – and being able to help assist them even in a small way - has totally enriched my life and I can’t imagine doing anything else. One of my many responsibilities at the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children is fundraising, because without it we cannot do what we do. We are especially excited about implementing this new online fundraising tool for William’s Walk & Run this year, because it makes fundraising so easy. When Sherry, after just two weeks on the job, said she wanted to create an online fundraising page, I asked if I could tag along.
