Until this year, we've walked as "Team King" in honor of our regal rescue we lost 2 years ago.   In July, we lost our loving Daisy May, who taught us never to act our age and to always be joyful.   So this year, we walk in memory of possibly the best rescue I ever did, and certainly in honor of her selfless devotion to the very end.  Daisy wants me to tell you that I just pulled Sam, a guy that looks a lot like her, from a gassing shelter in NC, and he turned out to have heartworms, a fatal, but treatable illness.    The treatment is expensive, and Henrico Humane has stepped up to help him get the treatment he needs to live a long and happy life.  But every dollar that Henrico Humane spends on Sam's treatment is a dollar that isn't there to rescue another dog.    Please help us raise money to cover Sam's vet bills and pay for other lucky dogs to be rescued and become the soul of their forever families.   Thanks for your help!
