Hope, Steps & a Cure Walk
August 21, 2010 10:00 AM
Stony Creek Metropark, MI
The Hope, Steps & a Cure fundraising and awareness walk will benefit the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, an organization that provides support, education and hope to patients with bone marrow failure diseases.
The TAG Team is walking in support of Leah Davidson, a member of the TAG family. Several years ago, Leah underwent a stem-cell transplant as treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She was recently given a clean bill of health on the cancer front, but was then diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndromes - MDS - on March 15, 2010. MDS is known to lead to leukemia. Leah is currently undergoing treatment to fight this disease. The TAG team supports each other and family members and we hope with this walk we will raise awareness of this disease and raise money to help fund research for MDS.
AA&MDSIF is the world’s leading non-profit health organization dedicated to supporting patients and their families who are living with aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and related bone marrow failure diseases. AA&MDSIF provides answers, support and hope to thousands of patients and their families around the world through patient support, patient education, research and advocacy.
Many thanks for your support of me, my colleagues and Leah!
