This summer I will be traveling to Thailand and Cambodia where I will be leading a group of high school students and participating in several community service projects with an organization called Global Routes
. While living in the rural community of Baan Pok, a picturesque and traditional village in the Samoeng District of northern Thailand our group will take on various community service projects. Projects can range from construction to education and whatever else the community deems as necessary. Please visit the global routes website for more info
Global Routes, a tax-exempt non-profit, is a non-governmental, non-sectarian organization committed to strengthening our global community through voluntary work overseas.
Each participant is asked to try to fundraise to help support these projects. Therefore, I'm asking if you will help sponsor our project by making a fully tax deductible donation to Global Routes. One hundred percent of your donation will go directly to our groups project
--to pay for materials, pay local villagers who will teach necessary skills and buy books for the children with whom we'll also work.
I know that money is tight right now for many of you. Any amount that you can give is appreciated, even $5 helps,
but please don't feel pressured to give. Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support - and please forward this
to anyone else you think might want to donate, too! I look forward to sharing many photos and stories with you over the summer.
