Project Tanzania
Friends and Family,
This summer Ruth and I will be traveling to Tanzania where we will be leading a group of high school students and participating in several community service projects with an organization called Global Routes. While living in a rural community our group will take on various projects. This year we will be working on building facalities at a school in the community of Maji ya Chai, a picturesque and traditional Wameru village in the far northeastern region of Tanzania. It is located about 30 km from Arusha, a bustling town at the foot of Mt. Meru.
Each participant is asked to try to fundraise to help support these projects. Therefore, we're asking if you will help sponsor our project by making a fully tax deductible donation to Global Routes. One hundred percent of your donation will go directly to our groups project-- We literally carry the money ourselves and buy supplies. Your dontation will be put to good use (and not towards any administrative fees). It will be used to pay for materials, pay local villagers who will teach necessary skills and buy books for the children with whom we'll also work. Global Routes, a tax-exempt non-profit, is a non-governmental, non-sectarian organization committed to strengthening our global community through voluntary work overseas.
We realize that money is tight right now. Any amount that you can give is appreciated, even $5 helps. Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support - and please forward this to anyone else you think might want to donate! we will look forward to sharing many photos and stories with you over the summer.
With Sincere Thanks,
Matt
