Matt Johnson's SUPER Plunge Fundraising Page
As the bitter cold air indicates, it’s that time again…time for me to show my support of Special Olympics Illinois through the SUPER Plunge! Yes, you have to be a little crazy to jump into Lake Michigan in the middle of winter, but this extreme event allows me to raise much-needed money and awareness for the more than 32,000 athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. I’m definitely Freezin’ for a Reason!
For the fourth straight year, I’m going to take 24 icy dips into Lake Michigan (once an hour, every hour, for 24 hours straight) while camping out on Northwestern University’s North Beach! Did I mention it’s COLD???
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation online. Through generous donations like yours, we are changing the way that the world views individuals with intellectual disabilities. Any donation is welcome and appreciated!
New this year, BWM Global has agreed to match 50 cents of every dollar donated to my efforts! Through their support, every donation will make an even larger impact (for example, your $50 contribution will result in $75 benefiting Special Olympics programs).
Your support will help provide Special Olympics athletes the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition…free of charge! These programs provide opportunities to build new skills, enhance self-esteem and develop social skills that lead to fuller, more independent lives for the athletes.
Again, a very warm-hearted “thank you” for your support in making a difference in the lives of the athletes! Think warm thoughts for me as February 24 approaches!
