This is my fundraising page for Camp Grady Spruce. There are many like it. But this one is mine!
When I was growing up, for 13 years I was either a camper or on staff at Grady Spruce. Yes. That's me in the picture. Skiing at Camp waaay back in 1985!
After a 20 year absence I am now reconnecting with great friends, making new ones, and trying to give back to an organization that gave me so much!
Since 1949, Camp Grady Spruce "CGS" has been dedicated to making a positive, meaningful impact on its visitors in the areas of personal identity, values, relationships, education and spirituality. Annually, over 14,000 children, youth, teens and families participate in a life-enriching event at CGS. For me, personally, CGS has provided a basis to build meaningful cross-generational relationships that continue to have a daily impact.
Last year, I started late in the fundraising campaign. But through my page we raised $2,070.00 for camp in one month! Thanks to each of you who helped out then. I hope we can do some good this year too.
Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. And they are tax deductable! Here are some of the ways your dollars could have a meaningful positive impact:
- $100 - offers a child to camp with his/her father on an Adventure Guides Campout
- $250 - offers a family a chance to connect for a long weekend retreat
- $500 - offers a rising high school sophomore a scholarship to Leadership Y, a focused week of equipping teen leaders
- $750 - offers a week of summer resident camp for a child
- $1000 - offers a pre-teen the opportunity to participate in our Counselor In Training (CIT) program
- $2,400 - offers sponsorship for an international staff member
The Grady Spruce Fundraising Team is trying to raise $290k by March 1, 2009. This page is my little effort to help reach that goal.
