This is Matthew's second year participating in Texas Big Beat, a charity drumming event that not only gathers hundreds of drummers to celebrate drumming and play together in a single venue, but also raises funds to support underprivileged, special needs and at-risk children to develop self-esteem and strong learning skills through music and educational programs. 

Matthew is hoping to raise $250 in support of Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.  Please consider helping him drum up support for youth music with a tax-deductible donation.  Donations of any amount are appreciated.  Matthew would like to help other children find the rhythm in their lives. 

BigBeat 2010 will be held Sunday, November 7.  It will feature thousands of drummers jamming together in 15 different cities across the US and Canada.
