Levy is going to make a hole-in-one for Special Olympics!
I am going to do something a little crazy to raise money for Special Olympics athletes and I am writing to ask for your support. On Thursday, October 27, I am going to play 100 par 3 golf holes in the Par 3 Marathon. I will be joined by 3 time PGA tour winner Robert Gamez and 16 other golf nuts at Legends Walk in Orlando.
My involvement with Special Olympics began in 2003 and over the past 8 years I have seen the program change lives again and again. Special Olympics is more than just a sports program for people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics is a platform to know success and to feel accepted. It improves health, creates self confidence, and brings joy. The program really works!
Here in Florida, we provide year round sports training and competitive opportunities, free health screenings, teach leadership skills and we even offer a Young Atheltes Program for atheltes 2 - 7 years of age. In total, we serve more than 15,000 athletes across the state and we provide all these service at no cost to the athletes or their care givers.
This is why your support of events like the Par 3 Marathon are essential to fulfilling the promise of Special Olympics.
Please sponsor my Par 3 Marathon. No donation is too small... or too big!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
I will be sending photos as proof of completion to all who donate for their amusement.
