Larry Loftis' Fundraising Page
Family and friends,
Thanks for taking the time to visit this website in honor of Larry. You probably already know this, but Larry was a phenomenal man who was loved by many. He was an amazing father, spouse and friend. Larry celebrated each and every day making all of our lives a little brighter through his endearing charm, love for the outdoors and care for all. I do know that he would not want any of us to mourn his passing, but to live our lives as fully as we are capable and whenever possible, without regret. Please keep his life and memory close to your heart; remember the times you spent with him, and know that he loved us all very much.
As many of you may know, pancreatic cancer is an extremely aggressive disease and is rarely discovered in the early stages, resulting in a poor prognosis. Pancreatic cancer survival rates are thus one of the lowest of all cancer survival rates. Current medical intervention results in less than 5% of patients reaching the 5 year survival mark, with improvement in only about 15-20% of all patients These statistics bear witness to the claim that this is one of the deadliest of all cancers.
Larry lost his fight with pancreatic cancer on December 2, 2009, approximately 13 months after being diagnosed. His hope (and ours) is that funding could provide opportunities for the much needed advanced research and improvements for patient support.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
If you want to honor his memory, then help us fight for a cure to Pancreatic Cancer by making a charitable donation on this webpage in his memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
