Maureen's Fundraising Page
In anticipation of the 11th Annual Pet Telethon on August 8, I have created this web page to help the Arizona Humane Society reach its goal of raising $650,000.

The Arizona Humane Society is near and dear to my heart. This year I have the honor of being its Chairman of the Board of Directors. AHS is Arizona’s largest animal welfare organization and does not receive any government funding or support. AHS is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organization. Aside from the common goal of helping animals, there is absolutely no relationship between the Arizona Humane Society and the Humane Society of the United States or any other humane society. AHS is supported exclusively by private donations by people like you.
In 2008 alone, AHS took in 45,000 animals, many of which were sick, injured animals requiring medical attention provided by our amazing staff of veterinarians. Almost 800 of those animals were taken in by AHS from other shelters in the state or from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, which did not have capacity for them. AHS spayed or neutered almost 19,000 animals and found loving homes for almost 16,000 animals in 2008. AHS does NOT euthanize ANY healthy adoptable animals.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
