A Polar Bear Plunge Poem

In 2011 I Plunged
Into a frozen lake
Had I lost my mind?

Of course not! I plunged
For a cause! I plunged
For the Special Olympics!

Now 12 months have past
It’s that time of year again!
Time to test the elements!

Will the sky blizzard?
Will the sun shine its rays?
Either way I plunge!

Last year this Texan
Only made it to her shins
This year this Texan

Will plunge all the way
I will sprint towards the lake
Going for gold!

At 102%
Of goal please help me reach
