We are the Monterey Bay Chapter of Women of Vision, a volunteer ministry of World Vision. As a partnership of Christian women, we invest our time, intellect, compassion, creativity, finances (and in this case, our walking shoes!) to meet the needs of impoverished and oppressed women and children throughout the world.

According to United Nations estimates, every 14 seconds a child is orphaned by HIV/AIDS. This means that over 6,000 children are orphaned each day by this disease. On World AIDS Day, Wednesday, December 1, 2004, we are walking “6,000 Steps for 6,000 Orphans.” One step on behalf of each child who will be orphaned that day.
- $25 can provide an orphan care kit (nutritious food, basic medicines, etc.)
- $30 can provide healthcare provisions for one child - $50 can provide adult assistance and counseling to a vulnerable child - $100 can help build a home for an HIV/AIDS affected family Together, your donation and our 6,000 steps can reach all around the world bringing hope and relief.
