Dance Marathon is a charity event Niles North and Niles West run every year.  Last year we raised $83,000 for Camp One Step at a Time, an overnight camp that allows children with cancer to go to over night camp while receiving the medical help they need.

This years charity is Expanding Lives.  Expanding Lives is an organization that brings women from Niger, the poorest country in the world, to the U.S. for 6 weeks to learn leadership and life long skills.  Only 6% of women in Niger attend secondary school.

In addition, this year we are also donating 5% to the Niles Township Foundation of Excellence.  This allows students in District 219 who are not financially stable to recieve calculators, pay for AP testing, ect.

Your donation of $1, $5, or $10 would make a HUGE difference in these womens lives.

What happens when a women from Niger goes to school...

• -She'll be less likely to be a victim of child trafficing.
• -She'll wait longer to have her first child.
• -She'll be less likely to die during childbirth.
• -She'll have fewer children.
• -Her personal health improves.
• -Her children will be more likely to survive infancy.
• -Her children are more likely to attend school.
• -And the cycle expands to the next generation and then next...
