Expanding Lives is an organization founded by Niles West teachers that brings women from Niger to the Chicago-land area for a few weeks during the summer. On their trip, the women learn life lessons that they can use in Niger and teach their own communities. Students from both Niles North and Niles West had the unique opportunity to work with the girls last summer. They assisted in expanding the girls’ knowledge and taught computer, health, English, and government classes. District 219 students also conducted peer mediation and went on social outings that enhanced the West African girls' exposure to our culture. This charity gives a great chance for these young women to make a life for themselves back home and it would mean a lot if you had even a dollar to donate to this amazing charity.

Dance Marathon has really changed my life, and by donating you will help change the lives of girls who have very limited opportunities. I dance for those who can't dance themselves.
