Japan Disaster Relief Walk-A-Thon
PLEASE see the tracker at the bottom of this page for an update on how many miles I have walked.
This page is no longer taking donations but thank you for your support. I am working very hard to walk my miles. ♥ ♥ ♥
Update 03-09-2012:
***I AM
STILL WAKLING!
I suffered a setback
in the late summer/early fall
(due to Multiple Sclerosis symptoms)
and I was unable
to get much walking done
but I am feeling good again
and still walking
and still trying to meet my goal.
Thank you
for checking out
my fundraiser page!***
On March 11, 2011 magnitude-8.9 earthquake hit off the shore of Japan, unleashing a 23-foot tsunami and leaving enormous destruction in its wake. Hundreds have been killed in this disaster and thousands have been left homeless, as the tsunami swept through, causing mass destruction and setting off widespread fires that burned out of control.
The Salvation Army is at work meeting the needs of the people of Japan. I have created this fundraising page to aid with the enormous relief efforts that will be required to help Japan recover and rebuild. I pledge to walk 1 mile for every dollar raised, even if I exceed my $200.00 goal and it takes me years to walk off my debt to my donors. All funds raised by this page will go to the Salvation Army's Japan disaster relief efforts.
We can all do SOMETHING to help. Every dollar counts!
Thank you for supporting this cause!
