Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Give Kids The World. I am participating in the "Coasting For Kids" event, benefitting Give Kids The World.I will be riding a best loved roller coaster, Steel Force, at one of my favorite parks!
My neighbors, Ashley and Rick Mantheiy of Hummelstown PA, were at GKTW last year with their sons, Drake and Ben. Making wishes come true for families like the Mantheiys only happens if you give. No amount is too small. Here is a little about Ben and Drake (That is Ben and Drake at GKTW on my page photo):
Live in Hummelstown PA
Treated at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa
Both suffer from Hydrocephalus, which is an abnormal build-up of the fluid that cleans your brain
Also Arnold Chairi Malformation 1- which is when your brain pushes into your spinal column.
They have endured 30 brain surgeries
With the potential of more at any minute

….. and the Mantheiy family will be the GKTW Ambassador Family at Dorney Park this year, barring any brain surgeries.
GKTW is a magical resort where kids who face life-threatening illnesses can be kids. Since its founding in 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed over 97,000 families from all 50 states and over 68 countries. Last year alone GKTW hosted more than 6,500 families.
Give Kids The World has made a promise to never turn a child away. For 70 percent of the year however, the Village runs above 100 percent occupancy, meaning some families must lodge off property during their Wish Trip. For this reason, Give Kids The World Village is in the midst of the largest expansion project in its history.
Demand for Central Florida wishes is forecast to increase about six percent each year through 2015. To accommodate this growth the Village will need to expand to approximately 192 villas. Every person you tell about this mission, will help bring GKTW one step closer to achieving this goal.
