Thank you for visiting Melissa & Rob's fundraising page!
Well, here it is again! Another year has passed and the NHSPCA needs your help more than ever before. Can you find it in your hearts again?
We all know that it is tough out there. Believe me, we feel it as well. We have seen first hand how bad the economy is with our work at the local homeless shelter (and of course our own pockets). Many of you know that we donate our time several times a year to Cross Roads House (but mainly at Christmas). We play Santa and Mrs. Claus for their Christmas party. Last year there were twice as many children than the year before. But what most of us don't think about is: Many of them had pets before they encountered their unfortunate situaton. And where do the pets go? They go to the NHSPCA - since most homeless shelters do not take animals in with the families. And of course, the pets themselves don't have a voice to say "I want to stay with my Family".
What can we do? Well, you can help. It doesn't take much. A few dollars here, a few pennies there. I am sure that the change you find in your car alone would help. We all look at donations as being a major undertaking, but it doesn't have to be. We continue to donate to a multitude of causes, but instead of doing a large lump sum, we break it up and send two different donations per year. That way it's not a major hit to the bank account. If this suits you, that's great! If you want to donate a little this month, and a little a month later, no problem! We will take ANYTHING we can. They desperately need it.
Just to let you know where your money goes (wouldn't we love to know this on everything!), so here it is:
