2011 Youth Fire Truck Pull Team!
I am fundraising for the Youth Team for this year's Fire Truck Pull! We never ask youth to fundraise (but apparently, we do expect them to pull a huge fire truck 30 feet up Church St.), which is why it is my job to raise the money. The Youth Team won the Audience Favorite Award last year. I fully expect them to win that again but I'd also like them to win for most money raised. My goal is $3,000.00. Can you help me achieve it? Every little bit helps and all the money raised goes towards Outright Vermont.
The mission of Outright Vermont is to build safe, healthy, and supportive environments for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth, ages 13-22. Since 1989, Outright has worked to provide safety and support for queer youth, helped make schools safer, and focused on youth empowerment, leadership, and advocacy. We helped thousands of youth throughout Vermont this last year, and demand for our services continues to grow.We need your financial support in order to keep doing amazing work with and on behalf of Vermont's queer youth.
We also need cheerleaders! Come cheer on the teams at the Fire Truck Pull at 12pm on September 17th, 2011! Also, if you are overwhelmed with enthusiasm and want to start your own team (and how could you not?) email Saben@outrightvt.org and he'll get you started. Thanks!
Thanks!
