Dear Friends and Family-

As most of you know, I am at risk for Huntington's Disease (HD).  HD is a terrible wasting disease that renders vital, healthy individuals completely unable to care for themselves.  Because I am at risk, so is my daughter Grace.  In light of this news, I am reaching out to all of you to help me raise money to support research and family care intiatives.

Huntington's Disease is a devastating, hereditary, degenerative brain disorder for which there is, at present, no effective treatment or cure. HD slowly diminishes the affected individual's ability to walk, think, talk and reason. HD usually strikes in a person's 30s, however children as young as 2 have developed the disease.  Eventually, the person with HD becomes totally dependent upon others for his or her care.

Any help or support that any of you can offer, no matter how large or small, would be much appreciated.  HDSA is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization and as such, all donations are tax deductible.  Any person donating $100 or more will receive a commemorative gift honoring your support (please allow 12 weeks for delivery).
