Papa (Melvin Earl Rupe) was a wonderful man. He loved people, especially those in need. During the same year South Sudan became a free nation, our loving Papa passed onto Heaven.
In his loving memory, we are building wells in South Sudan. The cost for each well is $10,000. Over $1,000 was donated last year, and that means we're on our way toward the first well.
Samaritan’s Purse is coordinating an effort to drill wells in villages throughout the Nuba Mountains, supplying thousands of families with a source of clean, safe water. Each well built in Papa Rupe's memory will provide a lifetime of clean water to a village of about five hundred people.
Donating through the FirstGiving website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to coordinate our giving toward the project.
Many thanks for "giving a cup of cold water" in Jesus Name and Papa Rupe's memory.
