Aura always had a fondness for music. She spent her youth in the Los Angeles County Youth Band and in the band at South Gate High School. Although her talent allowed her to take up instruments easily, she shined most when playing the flute and piccolo. Her love of music was an important part of her life, and she encouraged that same love in her children and community.
