I am working to organize the Water 1st Carry 5 event for Tucson.  Recently, I visited the water projects that Water 1st supports in Honduras.  It was cool to see the way that this work is being implemented.  The involvement and contribution of the beneficiaries of these projects is impressive.  They provide all of the labor that constructs the water systems, from digging miles of trench to carrying rock and concrete to build the water tank.  By providing support, these communities have the technical expertise and money to obtain the materials.  This is a good way to become involved in addressing the lack of access to clean water.
