Bark In The Park 2007
As many of you know, I adopted Dempsey in December, 2005, and he has brought an immeasurable amount of happiness and joy to my life. This would not have been possible if not for organizations like the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society, who provides shelter, health care, and adoption services for thousands of homeless animals each year.
The ACS also provides low-cost spay/neuter clinic, a rehabilitation & treatment center, a low-income clinic, humane education/community outreach, cruelty and abuse investigations and rescue, dog training classes, a free behavior hotline, and pet visitations.
To help ensure that animals like Dempsey will be provided for in the future, Dempsey and I are participating in the Anti-Cruelty Society’s annual fundraising event Bark In The Park 2007, a 5k walk for dogs and the owners. Last year, we were able to raise $2500 in support of this cause. This year our goal is $3000.
Dempsey and I would be very appreciative if you could help us reach our goal. The Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society is a non-profit organization, so donations are fully tax deductible. Please donate if you can, knowing that you are not only helping to save the lives of deserving pets but also enabling those animals to bring happiness and joy to countless families around the Chicago area.
As Dempsey and I train to lose that winter weight (his, not mine), we thank you in advance for your support!!!
